Both genres can be written separately or combined. Separately, Sci-Fi has a heavy Science, Space and technological theme with robots or AI, spaceships, aliens civilizations including humans or not. Fantasy is usually full of classic imaginative species such as Gods, dragons, trolls, goblins, wizards, fairies and such with magic throughout or not but do not necessarily have to include supernatural beings such as spirits, devils and angels unless otherwise necessary. Either theme can be combined with a number of core elements that allow both to work together.
